Mark your calendars! Northside-Porchside 2022 is a way to meet and greet parents, guardians and NNHS PTSO adult members for a welcoming evening of food and cheer. Consider hosting on your porch or attending as a guest.

What is Northside-Porchside 2022?

N-P 2022 is a fun welcoming event with two phases. First, all attendees will gather at one home from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Principal Henry Turner will greet us. Each participant will be given a porch address where they will enjoy the remainder of the evening in a smaller group from 8:00 -10:00 p.m.

Light food and drinks will be served during both phases of the event. We encourage all adult members of the NNHS community to take part in this exciting evening. Register to attend as a guest or perhaps host on your porch. Either way, please be involved!

We have a generous host for the first part of the evening, but now are looking for porchside hosts. We need up to 18 homes from all grades to host a gathering of 8-20 adults on a porch, in a backyard or even around your fire pit. A covered outdoor space suitable for October weather, rain or shine is best. While the primary focus of the event involves offering outdoor gatherings, indoor space can also be incorporated as desired. Hosts should provide light food offerings and an assortment of beverages. Some ideas include – an all dessert event with hot chocolate, BBQ sliders with brews & chips, cheese & crackers with your favorite vino or cider or serve your favorite assortment of snacks & drinks. You must fill out the host questionnaire.

In the past, Northside Dining was a huge progressive dinner event where the PTSO hosted appetizers at the high school, then parents hosted dinners and desserts at their homes. This much-loved event has evolved during the past two years, with an online Tiger Trivia Game in 2020 and the transition to Porch Party in 2021 during which hosts welcomed small groups onto on their porches.

Funds donated for this event are used to support the PTSO in its main endeavor which
is to serve the over 2,100 students of diverse backgrounds.
